Fresh insights have surfaced regarding the residence rented by singer D4vd, where authorities discovered the body of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas in the trunk of his towed Tesla.
TMZ has released images showing the 20-year-old musician, now a person of interest in the ongoing investigation, residing in a property equipped with a freezer reportedly spacious enough to hold a human body.
This information follows official statements revealing that Rivas’s body had been decapitated and frozen prior to being found.
On Sunday, the news outlet shared a photograph from inside the rental property, highlighting a sizable KitchenAid refrigerator and freezer unit in the kitchen.
The appliance is described as standing approximately 74 inches tall, 14 inches wide, and 27 inches deep, capable of reaching temperatures as low as -8 degrees Fahrenheit.
Rivas, who stood 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighed 120 pounds, was discovered in a bag with her limbs severed, which, according to reports, could have allowed her remains to fit into the freezer if its shelves were removed.
D4vd became a suspect in the death of teenager Celeste Rivas days ago. And now it has emerged that the singer’s rental home had a freezer large enough to fit a body; pictured in June
Celeste’s 5’3″, 120-lbs cadaver was found in a bag with the victim’s arms and limbs cut off, making it possible to fit it in the appliance if the shelves were removed
TMZ also noted that a social media clip from September 2024 shows the singer, real name David Anthony Burke, in a house with an appliance box in the background that could have been a freezer.
Sources linked to the investigation have claimed that when the teenager’s corpse was found, in addition to having severed limbs, it was beheaded and chopped into pieces.
Her remains were said to have been ‘partially frozen’ and thawing in the Tesla by the time they were found, insiders told TMZ.
As a result, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner may not be able to determine the cause of death, sources added.
While Burke has been named as a suspect, he has not been charged with any crime. He has not commented on the case.
A second suspect has also been identified in Rivas’s death, according to a podcast on the TMZ network.
Defense attorney Mark Geragos and TMZ Founder Harvey Levin revealed their findings in an episode of their show 2 Angry Men.
On Wednesday, People reported similar information from a police source, but added that the unnamed person likely participated in the disposal of the body.
D4vd has not been charged with any crime in connection with the case. Here he is pictured with shirts he once sold as merch – which have since been removed from sale
Rivas’s decomposing body was found inside the trunk of an impounded Tesla registered to the 20-year-old star in early September
Geragos said he’s aware that the LAPD has established a detailed timeline of the crime by putting together social media posts, cell phone records and Tesla tracking data.
‘They have triangulated this to the point where they’ve got a chart at LAPD that you would not believe. They’ve got this thing down to a timeline that’s almost by the minute,’ he shared.
Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department discovered Rivas’s body after receiving reports of a foul odor coming from the vehicle.
Police said the automobile had been at the impound lot for a few days, and the body was in a bag inside the front trunk of the car on September 8.
Footage captured by ABC 7 showed police surrounding the car before it was eventually towed away.
It had Texas plates and had been abandoned in the Hollywood Hills prior to being taken to the impound lot.
Just days before he was linked to the abandoned Tesla, the hitmaker plugged the deluxe version of his debut album Withered.
He wrote to his 2.1 million Instagram followers on September 7, ‘Withered Deluxe: Marcescence OUT SEPTEMBER 19TH!!!’
The music artist added, ‘every song written exclusively by me on my phone baby, this is a passion project i put together to make sure i didn’t lose the raw emotional weight my music carries and how much it means to u all.
‘Thank you to all the friends who collaborated with me on this. Everyone ATE THEIR VERSES UP ❤️❤️❤️.’
He has not posted on his Instagram grid since then.
