A Michigan woman who spoke out against mask mandates and the COVID-19 vaccine has died of the virus at age 29, leaving behind three children.

Bridget Jackson, from Port Huron, had frequently promoted her anti-mask, anti-vaccine stance on Facebook, sharing memes and posts including one in which she said she ‘understands the risk’ of the disease but ‘doesn’t prioritize fear over life.’

But in late November she came down with the virus herself, writing that it ‘sucks’ and asking for recommendations for ‘lung exercises’ she could do.

She passed away on December 21, leaving behind a fiancé and three children under the age of ten.

According to her obituary, Jackson, who worked at a car dealership, had spent most of her life in Burton, Michigan,

‘Bridget’s greatest love was her family who she enjoyed camping and traveling with, but her world revolved around her children. She did like to read during her quite [sic] times,’ it read.

As the pandemic swelled, Jackson was vocal against precautions that can be taken to prevent the virus, including mask-wearing.

‘Just because we don’t wear a mask doesn’t mean we lack common courtesy or don’t respect you,’ she wrote. ‘We simply believe your fear is your issue.’

She made the same fear argument again in another post.

In October, Jackson’s grandfather, Bob Jackson, passed away from COVID-19.

About a month later, she appeared to contract it herself, asking Facebook friends to ‘keep me in your prayers.’

‘Friends who ended up in the hospital with covid. What lung exercises helped strengthen your lungs?’ she asked on November 26.

On December 1, she wrote: ‘Covid sucks.’
