An armed man, claiming to be law enforcement, has been detained at Charlie Kirk’s memorial site in Arizona.

The man was detained on Friday at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, which is set to host Kirk’s memorial service on Sunday September 21.

Kirk, aged 31, tragically lost his life on September 10 during his ‘American Comeback’ tour, being shot in front of a crowd of students and supporters at Utah Valley University.

Anthony Guglielmi, a spokesperson for the Secret Service, informed Fox News Digital that the US Secret Service, in collaboration with local law enforcement in Glendale, Arizona, is investigating an individual displaying suspicious behavior at State Farm Stadium.

The man, who is yet to be identified, was approached by Secret Service and said he was a member of law enforcement and armed.

According to a source familiar with the situation, reported by the New York Times, the person was found carrying at least one gun and a knife and showed ‘inactive law enforcement credentials.’

‘The individual is not a member of authorized law enforcement working the event and is currently in custody,’ Guglielmi added.

Secret Service and local law enforcement are investigating the incident and determining why he was at the location.

‘Indoor overflow will be available next door at the Desert Diamond Arena. Please be informed that enhanced security measures may lead to longer waiting times than usual.’

The stadium, home to the NFL Arizona Cardinals, has seating for 63,400 people and can expand to over 73,000 for larger events.

As of Friday, the lineup of speakers included Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk, along with Trump and Vance, White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F.
