Home favourite Ash Barty takes on American 27th seed Danielle Collins in the Australian Open women’s final on Saturday.

Top seed Barty is hoping to become the first Australian to win the Melbourne Grand Slam title since 1978, with the 25-year-old Wimbledon champion looking to solidify her spot as world No 1.

But in Barty’s way is a tough test in America’s Danielle Collins, who comfortably beat 2020 French Open champion Iga Swiatek in the semi-final, as the 28-year-old looks to complete an incredible journey after surgery for endometriosis a year ago.
