Julia Roberts has revealed she made a major gaffe when she was invited into the Royal Box at the Wimbledon tennis tournament this summer.

The esteemed actress, 57, joined Benedict Cumberbatch on The Graham Norton Show this week, sharing a story about their previous meeting when they sat next to each other at Wimbledon.

In the episode set to air on Friday, Julia reminisced, “I was seated between Benedict and my husband in the Royal Box, thrilled with the experience until Benedict noted my habit of gasping loudly whenever the ball is hit.”

‘In the Royal Box you are supposed to be completely quiet. It is impossible to be silent in that scenario!’

The prestigious 74-seat Royal Box at Centre Court is by invitation only, with access granted by the All England Club chair, typically consisting of members of the royal family, government leaders, and celebrities.

Elsewhere in the show, Julia was asked whether she will star in the recently announced Ocean’s 14.

The Hollywood legend, 57, appeared on The Graham Norton Show this week with Benedict and recalled their last encounter together when they were sat beside one another at Wimbledon

The renowned actress, 57, appeared alongside Benedict on The Graham Norton Show this week, recalling their Wimbledon seating arrangement together.

Julia recalled: 'Benedict pointed out to me that I gasp very loudly every time the ball is struck. In the Royal Box you are supposed to be completely quiet!'

Julia recounted, “Benedict informed me that my loud gasps at every ball hit were unusual. In the Royal Box, you’re expected to remain silent!”

A reboot trilogy of the Oceans heist films were released from 2001 to 2007, with many of the original cast members said to be returning 18 years on from the last film.

Yet Julia kept coy on any details, revealing she was out of the loop when it came to planning.

She explained: ‘We have talked about it, but I didn’t know George [Clooney] was going to announce it!’

Ocean’s Eleven sparked the first movie project between the pair. They have gone on to work together in several more projects together that have made more than $962 million at the box office.

The 2001 crime caper was a remake of the classic 1960s Rat Pack film directed by Steven Soderbergh, and also starred the likes of Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Bernie Mac and Don Cheadle.

George stars as Danny Ocean, an ex-con fresh out of prison, approaching his buddy Rusty (Brad) about performing a monumental heist.

He wants to rob the central vault of three Las Vegas casinos at the same time, during a boxing match so that the grand total in the safe would be a little over $160 million.

They gather the Eleven, who aren’t impressed to learn that the man they are robbing, Terry Benedict, is a man whose principal crime seems to be that he’s dating Danny’s ex-wife Tess (Julia).

Unsurprisingly, the film was a huge success and quickly made back it’s $85 million budget. Altogether, it has grossed over $450,728,529 worldwide.
