In an astonishing turn of events, the children of Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders stumbled upon a remarkable archaeological find in Israel.

During a family visit to the West Bank, they explored a cave near Na’ela in the Binyamin region alongside archaeologists, where they unearthed ancient coins estimated to be 2,000 years old, as reported by the Yesha Council.

“Grandpa, look what we found!” exclaimed the children—Scarlett, George, and William—to their grandfather, sharing their exciting discovery.

The set of five coins likely dates back to the period between 132 and 135 AD, aligning with the era of the Bar Kokhba Revolt. They were discovered in the vicinity of Shilo.

In addition to the coins, the family also came across fragments of a jar from the second century in another cave, according to the council’s report.

“Watching my kids uncover and hold coins buried for more than 2,000 years was unforgettable,” the governor expressed in a statement to Fox News.

Huckabee Sanders’ father, Mike Huckabee, who is a US Ambassador to Israel, was also delighted in his grandchildren’s discovery.

‘It’s amazing to come to a place that proves that 3,000 years ago and even today,’ he said.

It’s unclear when the discovery was made, but the family did visit the Jewish State in December to spend Christmas there.

‘Merry Christmas from Bethlehem at the Church of the Nativity in Manger Square – the site of the birth of Christ!’ the Christian governor wrote on Instagram.

The governor and ambassador made a family trip to Bethlehem as part of their visit.

Huckabee Sanders also visited Israel and the United Arab Emirates in August for a trade mission, her office announced in July.

She traveled to the country to ‘deepen Arkansas’ economic ties’ with the Jewish Nation.

‘Israel is a hub for innovation, especially in agriculture and manufacturing, and as my dad likes to say, is the one place in the world you visit for the first time and it feels like coming home,’ she said in a statement.

Ambassador Huckabee was stationed in Israel in June while the tensions between Israel and Iran heated up.

He told President Donald Trump that he would be the last to leave and ‘will not abandon his post’ in Tel Aviv as Iran bombed the country.

‘My job is to be the last one to leave. I will not abandon this post. Our flag will NOT come down… it is my honor to serve you,’ he messaged Trump, who posted the interaction on Truth Social.

Trump has now threatened to strike Iran over civilian deaths during the past two weeks of protests. At least 50 civilians have died.
