Nikki Haley's son goes full-blooded America First leaving Tucker Carlson stunned: 'That's on Israel'

In a recent interview with Tucker Carlson, Nalin Haley, son of former U.S. Ambassador Nikki Haley, expressed strong opinions on legal immigration and foreign aid, drawing significant attention.

At 24, Nalin Haley voiced his support for restricting foreign students from enrolling in American universities and proposed that naturalized U.S. citizens should be prohibited from holding public office.

Haley is quickly gaining recognition among the ‘America First’ right and Gen Z nationalists, who praise his departure from his mother’s neoconservative views, seeing him as a fresh voice for the younger generation.

“Naturalized citizens should not be able to hold public office. Growing up here is a big part of understanding the country,” Haley stated, despite his own grandparents being Indian immigrants. His remarks aired during Wednesday night’s interview with Carlson.

He further argued for limiting foreign student admissions, suggesting some could be acting as spies for other nations. “But it is just that we should put our kids first,” he emphasized.

In a notable divergence from his mother’s well-known support for Israel, Haley advocated for a significant reduction in U.S. foreign aid to Jerusalem.

Haley’s position highlights a growing nationalist and skeptical sentiment among younger conservatives, which he described as an ‘America First’ outlook.

Carlson asked, ‘I keep reading that young people’s views of Israel are increasingly skeptical, if not hostile, do you think that’s true?

‘Absolutely,’ Haley responded. ‘I don’t think it’s anything we’ve done. I think it’s all reliant on Israel. That’s on them, actually, not on us.’

‘And if they want a better relationship with the United States, they need to stop interfering in our politics,’ Haley told Carlson.

‘And it’s not just Israel. I mean, we need to ban foreign aid…We should not have a single dime going to another country when we have people in poverty with bad schools, medical debt, all that stuff. It makes no sense. That’s part of America first.’

His comments come amid a generational divide within the conservative movement, with younger Gen-Z Republicans holding more negative views of Israel compared to their Boomer counterparts.

Nalin’s mother is viewed as one of the most prominent pro-Israel Republican figures in the nation.

Following the October 7, 2023, attack on Israel by Hamas, Haley supported the Israeli military’s response in the Gaza region.

During a May 2024 visit to Israel, the former US ambassador to the UN signed an Israeli artillery shell with the message, ‘Finish them!’

Her son, however, has now called on banning foreign lobbying from all countries, including Israel.

‘I think if we cut out the aid, cut out the lobbying, I think it’ll stop a lot of influence, not just from Israel, but from every country.’

Carlson pressed the younger Haley on the topic of Israel by asking if he believes it’s more acceptable for conservatives to criticize Israel.

‘Oh yeah, for sure,’ Nalin responded. ‘I just remember like growing up when I was in that 2016 era of conservative politics, Israel was untouchable. Like you could not say anything about it.

‘And in some ways it’s still kind of that way. But it’s like it’s just weird. It’s weird the obsession, you know, I’m not one to like the obsession whether it’s good or bad.’

Haley was largely off the radar prior to October, a Villanova alum who occasionally tweeted about faith and patriotism.

But he went viral on X when he started tapping into the burgeoning America First undercurrent among younger conservatives.

This led to a Fox News interview on November 10 where he stated that he was against H-1B visas and ‘forever wars.’

The Carlson appearance has now amassed more than two million impressions on X.

‘Nalin Haley is an incredibly articulate young man,’ one user commented.

Another responded: ‘Holy based Nalin being a total chad in Twitter single handedly cured me of total Indian hate.’

A third wrote: ‘Incredible interview. Nalin Haley is proof that the future isn’t beholden to the past. Watching him break the “Old Guard” mold to speak his own truth was powerful. He is a light for the future and exactly the kind of independent thinker we need. Impressive young man.’
