Iconic Atlantis hotel chain unveils incredible new attraction

In a stunning display of innovation, Atlantis Dubai has introduced a revitalized underwater experience by rebranding and refurbishing one of its most treasured attractions.

Atlantis’ renowned five-star resort, The Palm, situated along the Arabian Gulf, is famed for its luxurious offerings, and its latest endeavor is no exception.

Seventeen years after its grand opening, the much-loved Lost Chambers Aquarium has undergone a complete transformation with state-of-the-art technology and has been rebranded as the Lost World Aquarium.

Drawing inspiration from the myth of the sunken city of Atlantis, this new captivating journey immerses visitors in the heart of an ancient, mythical underwater civilization.

With over 65,000 marine creatures showcased in dramatically lit settings, the aquarium is already being celebrated as one of the most cutting-edge aquatic attractions globally, solidifying its status as the centerpiece of the ever-growing Atlantis Dubai portfolio.

The recent enhancements include an impressive addition of marine life, welcoming more than 430 new creatures spanning 35 different species.

The species include the striated frogfish, the axolotl and the giant Pacific octopus to name just a few.

Featuring ground-breaking marine design, carefully curated bespoke content, immersive storytelling and enriching educational programs, the new attraction is set to open to the public on October 27.

The new experience spans across 14 diversely-themed chambers which boast more than 1,900 LED panels, 55 high-powered projectors, and over 140 speakers.

Additionally, there will be a live mermaid show multiple times per day held in the 10-meter deep Ambassador Lagoon.

The performers, consisting of five members from across the globe, will demonstrate advanced breath-hold skills, choreographed movements, music and storytelling.

Customers have been recommended to save at least three hours to fully embrace the new sensory paradise.

The Palm itself, which has played host to a lengthy list of A-listers including Kim Kardashian, was opened to much fanfare back in 2008.

The ‘spectacular’ launch included a star-studded guest list featuring Robert DeNiro, Gerard Butler and Kylie Minogue.

It is no stranger to going big and bold since it is also home to the world’s largest waterpark called Aquaventure World.

In 2022, it snagged the Guinness World Record for the most waterslides in a single waterpark – and it’s only grown since.

External visitors can get standalone tickets for the aquarium from $23 for kids and $29 for adults.

If attendees are also heading to the waterpark, then they can buy a combined ticket from $91 for kids and $103 for adults.
