A boy has died after a car crash in the Hunter region of New South Wales.
At about 7.45am yesterday, police were called to the New England Highway at Murulla, 25km north of Scone.
A Holden Barina and a Nissan Elgrand had collided.

The Barina driver, an 85-year-old man, suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene before he was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
An 11-year-old boy was airlifted to hospital in a critical condition, but later died.
Those traveling in the Elgrand, which included two women aged 38 and 60, along with a 13-year-old girl, a 16-year-old boy, and a 19-year-old man, were transported to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
An investigation into the cause of the crash is underway.
