Authorities are actively seeking a potential witness who may have observed a reported sexual assault in Melbourne earlier this year. This incident occurred at the Billboard Saturdays nightclub located on Russell Street in Melbourne East, during the early hours of New Year’s Day.
The police have reason to believe that this individual assisted the female victim when she collapsed inside the club. To facilitate his identification, they have released images of the man in question.
The man depicted in the photos is described as a tall Caucasian male with short hair, styled with a side part, and lacking facial hair. In the images, he is seen wearing a long-sleeved button-up shirt, paired with pants and sneakers.
While another individual has already been apprehended in connection with this alleged assault and a separate incident in Corrs Lane nearby, authorities are keen to speak with this witness to gather more information.

A different man has already been arrested in relation to the alleged sexual assault at the nightclub and another at nearby Corrs Lane.
Police confronted the 22-year-old French national at Sydney International Airport on January 4.
He was extradited to Melbourne the following night and charged with six offences, including two counts of rape and two counts of sexual assault.
He will next appear before Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on May 22.
