Best-value phone and internet plans revealed as cost of living rises

One in five Aussies have missed a phone bill payment as they are unable to afford it, Canstar Blue revealed to 9News, adding that one in four struggle with phone and internet costs.

Vodafone’s “phone on a plan” was the best-value pay-as-you-go phone plan, Canstar Blue found.
The deal includes an iPhone 13 on a 24-month plan, with 40GB of data for $89.13 per month. 
In comparison, the market average is about $95 for the same deal. 
For those who already have a phone but are looking for a cheaper SIM-only plan, Moose Moblie offers the best deal, nearly 50 per cent cheaper than the market average.
Customers can get a SIM-only plan for just $16.80 a month, compared to roughly $30 anywhere else.
TPG offers the best-pre-paid plan, starting from $19 a month for 10GB of data and good customer support.
The average price for a pre-paid phone plan is $25 per month. 
The best deal on an NBN 50 internet plan Canstar Blue found was offered by SpinTel, whose deals are 10 to 20 per cent cheaper than its competitors, coming in at $68.88 per month.
The average regular speed NBN plan costs $82 per month.
If customers are looking for faster internet, the best NBN 250 plan comes from Tomi, which is also around 10 to 20 per cent cheaper than the industry average.
Tomi’s NBN 250 plan comes in at $105 per month, just shy of $20 cheaper to the average of $124.50.
