LIVE: New images of suspected Charlie Kirk assassin released

A recent episode of controversial cartoon South Park that mocked Charlie Kirk will reportedly be pulled from reruns by Comedy Central in the US.

Variety was the first to report the news, with CNN stating that a source verified the episode’s availability for streaming on Paramount+, accessible in Australia.

The episode titled “Got A Nut” features students from South Park Elementary School, including the typically villainous character Eric Cartman, as they become right-wing influencers.

Kirk is directly referenced in the name of an award given to “master debaters”.

South Park has generally opted to avoid directly addressing Trump, choosing instead to mock him through a proxy by using one of their characters as a stand-in.

But this latest season has been a full-tilt assault on the Trump White House, provoking anger, scorn, and from some, attempts to play along.

Kirk was among the latter, using an image from the episode mocking him as an avatar on some of his social media profiles.

“It’s kinda funny, and it really shows the cultural impact and the resonance that our movement has achieved. I see this as a badge of honor,” he remarked to Fox News after the episode was broadcast.
