Israel says it has killed two senior Iranian security officials in a major blow to the country’s leadership.

Iran has not yet confirmed the reported deaths of two key figures, as it continues to launch missile and drone attacks towards Gulf Arab nations and Israel, in a conflict showing no signs of resolution.

On Tuesday afternoon, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz announced that Ali Larijani, the secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, and General Gholam Reza Soleimani, leader of the Revolutionary Guard’s Basij force, were “eliminated” the previous night.

According to the Iranian Red Crescent, the ongoing conflict has claimed over 1,300 lives in Iran since it began.

Although Israel has yet to provide specifics about its operations in Lebanon, the Lebanese military reported that an airstrike on the village of Kfar Sir resulted in the death of one soldier and injuries to four others.

The Lebanese government reports that Israeli attacks have forced over 1 million people to flee their homes, which amounts to roughly 20% of the country’s population, with approximately 850 fatalities.

Amidst these tensions, some Israeli forces have advanced into southern Lebanon, fueling concerns about a potential large-scale invasion.

Israel reported two Iranian salvos early Tuesday fired toward Tel Aviv and an area south of the Sea of Galilee, and then more later in the day. More launches from Lebanon were also reported.

In Israel, 12 people have been killed by Iranian missile fire. At least 13 US military members have been killed.
