Law enforcement continues to maintain a presence at a Melbourne childcare facility where allegations of child sexual abuse have surfaced. This follows the emergence of more information regarding a former staff member accused of numerous offenses.

Twenty-six-year-old Joshua Brown is currently facing 70 charges concerning eight alleged victims, with police claiming the offenses happened at Creative Gardens Early Learning Centre in Point Cook from April 2022 to January 2023.

Today, police were seen monitoring the perimeter of the Creative Garden Early Learning Centre in Point Cook, as upset parents, although not directly implicated, voiced their anger.

Brown had worked at a number of childcare centres across Melbourne, police said.(Nine)

Premier Jacinta Allan today announced an urgent review into childcare safety to bring immediate changes to the sector off the back of the allegations made against Brown.

Victorian childcare centres will also be required to adopt a ban on personal devices by September 26.

Childcare centres which do not comply may face fines of up to $50,000.

As Brown waits to face court again he’ll remain at the Melbourne Assessment Prison, isolated from the general population out of fear he could be attacked behind bars.

The Brown family aren’t strangers to the court system.
