Newly released aerial imagery from the NSW Mid North Coast has captured the sobering scale of flood damage.

The images from Nearmap show the before and after of the situation.

Nearmap’s Senior Director of Survey and Geospatial Content Operations M’Shenda Turner spoke of the devastation.

“This has been among the most intense weather occurrences we’ve experienced in NSW in recent years — whole communities are isolated, and the extent of the destruction is astonishing.

“These visuals and insights provide us with a robust method to assist emergency services, insurers, and local councils in comprehending precisely what challenges they are dealing with on the ground.

“During such times, rapid and clear information is crucial – it aids in directing crucial decisions, prioritizing assistance, and ultimately, accelerating the recovery process for the affected communities.”
