Four 15-year-old boys have been taken into custody following a spate of suspected carjackings in Melbourne’s north-west yesterday evening.

Authorities received notifications around 11pm regarding an incident where three teenagers allegedly attempted to force a man to surrender his car on Timbertop Parade in Aintree.

According to police, despite the teenagers reportedly wielding “sharp weapons,” the man did not comply with their demands.

The car’s owner was allegedly assaulted, with the teens running from the scene.

The man was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Police allege that the same group of teenagers approached another man, demanding his silver Toyota Camry on Hertford Road in Sunshine about 11.50pm.

This time they were allegedly successful, assaulting the man and taking off in his Camry,

Later, officers saw the Camry along with a Toyota Kluger, which was also allegedly stolen in another alleged carjacking in Sunshine last week.

Police were able to follow the Camry to Matheson Terrace in Hillside, where the alleged occupants dumped the car.

Police arrested three 15-year-old boys nearby and seized multiple edged weapons.

The stolen Kluger was found abandoned in Kellie Court in Albanvale.

A 15-year-old boy attempted to flee the scene but was arrested nearby.

All four teenagers will be interviewed by police.

No charges have yet been laid.
