Newly available footage shows Erin Patterson talking to detectives at the same table where she served a meal that led to her conviction for three murders nearly a month earlier.
The Victorian Supreme Court has also released video evidence of Patterson getting rid of a food dehydrator, which played a crucial role in her prosecution for the fatal mushroom incident.
On July 7, Patterson, 50, was found guilty of murdering her former in-laws, Don and Gail Patterson, both 70, and Gail’s sister, Heather Wilkinson, 66. She was also convicted of attempting to murder Heather’s husband, Ian Wilkinson.
Farrell is heard thanking Patterson for her patience before requesting her phone and asking for the passcode.
She then hands over the phone.
Immediately following the verdicts in July, the Supreme Court disclosed numerous pieces of evidence that assisted in the conviction process.
This evidence included photographs of beef Wellington leftovers, which were tested by toxicologists after being discovered in a bin at Patterson’s residence.
Additionally, a video was released showing Patterson leaving Leongatha Hospital shortly after arriving. Police have not recovered the pink phone seen in photos of her at the hospital.
Patterson, who is facing the possibility of life behind bars, will return to court for a pre-sentence hearing later in 2025.
After her sentence is handed down, she will have 28 days to file an appeal.
