Heartbreak Island Australia host Clint Randell says the men are set to get frisky in more ways than one on Channel Seven’s new dating series: ‘We had to call out the medic’
Heartbreak Island host Clint Randell has dished the goss on Channel Seven’s new reality dating show.
The New Zealand TV and radio personality said it was ‘fascinating’ to watch the 16 hot singles turn their sights away from the partners they chose to start with.
‘People found themselves gravitating towards people who weren’t in their top three and got along really well with them,’ he told 7Entertainment.

He continued: ‘It quickly showed me that there might be people watching the show thinking, “Hmmm, maybe I should start looking at a wider range of people.”‘
The Masked Singer NZ host went on to say the real ‘appeal’ was discovering which contestants were on the Island for love and which ones were after the $100,000 cash prize.
The most dramatic moments in the sizzling new show revolve around The Disruptors who arrive to shake things up when people least expect it.

‘The disruptors are like new meat, they come in when everyone is kind of over the partners that they’re with,’ Clint laughed.
‘The timing is crucial. Sometimes a disruptor will come in at a great time, and other times they’ll come in when everyone’s pretty well paired up and playing the game pretty hard.’
The Dancing With The Stars NZ contestant said the physical challenges are when contestants are really put to the test.

He said: ‘Some of the challenges are pretty physical – we had to call out the medic once or twice.
‘Sometimes the boys got a little bit feisty, because there were a few head-to-head things where there was a little bit of combat action involved.
‘There was one challenge we had to stop and go back to do it the next day, just to reassess how broken they were and whether they were able to carry on or not.
‘The challenges are always fascinating because they make people wonder if they should be paired with someone they’re really into, or someone’s who’s just really great in challenges and can keep going forward in the game.’
