The Matildas are set to play their biggest game ever tomorrow night when they battle England in the semi-final of the FIFA Women’s World Cup at Sydney’s Stadium Australia.
Millions of Aussies are set to be cheering them on, but will the weather play ball?

Fortunately, Weatherzone is predicting the game will most likely be played in dry conditions.

There will only be a five per cent chance of a shower at Sydney Olympic Park when the game kicks off at 8pm, according to the Bureau of Meteorology (BoM), and just a “slight” chance of a shower in the lead-up.

That “slight” chance will only be a 20 per cent chance of more than 1mm of rain falling about 1pm, according to the BoM’s forecasts.

Sydney Olympic Park is also only expected to get 1mm or less of rain today, ahead of game day.

There is also good news for the thousands of viewers expected to pack Sydney Football Stadium in Moore Park, with only an eight to 10 per cent chance of rain there during the match.

Celebrations across Australia after Matildas victory

Fans gathering at open-air venues in Melbourne such as Federation Square are expected to stay dry, too.

Forecasts indicate only a five per cent chance of rain forecast for the city tomorrow.

The BoM is forecasting a 20 per cent chance of rain for Brisbane tomorrow, and a 50 per cent chance for Adelaide.
