French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte, are getting ready to present scientific and photographic proof in a US court to affirm Brigitte’s gender as female.
This move comes as part of a defamation lawsuit the couple has initiated against US conservative influencer Candace Owens, who alleged that Brigitte was born male.
Owens’ legal team has responded with a motion to dismiss the claim.
Clare says there will be “expert testimony that will come out that will be scientific in nature”.
It will show “both generically and specifically” that the allegations are false.
“It is incredibly upsetting to think that you have to go and subject yourself, to put this type of proof forward,” he said.
“It is a process that she will have to subject herself to in a very public way.
“But she’s willing to do it. She is firmly resolved to do what it takes to set the record straight.”
The evidence may also include photos of Brigitte pregnant and raising her children, if there are court standards and regulations, said Clare.
In March, Owens reignited this baseless conspiracy theory through a YouTube video titled “Is France’s First Lady a Man?” as detailed in the lawsuit filed in the Delaware Superior Court.
Promoted widely on X, Owens said the conspiracy theory was, “likely the biggest scandal in political history”.
Since then, Owens has created multiple videos regarding Brigitte Macron for her nearly 4.5 million YouTube followers, which includes a series titled “Becoming Brigitte.”
The lawsuit further claims she has also soldâ¯merchandise promoting the claim.
