Authorities managed to corner the driver on Spencer Street, where he allegedly made a desperate attempt to flee by charging towards an opening.

In the ensuing chaos, an officer had to quickly leap aside to avoid being hit as the vehicle barreled towards a taxi.

The situation escalated into a multi-vehicle collision involving several taxis, with one driver becoming trapped amid the commotion as police surrounded the suspect.

Officers eventually extracted the driver from his car, drawing guns and Tasers to ensure his capture.

The man was then secured onto a stretcher and transported to the hospital, remaining under police supervision throughout.
