Police arrested more than a dozen people in Melbourne‘s west this morning following reports of an alleged assault.

Authorities responded to an early morning incident at a residence in Mambourin, near Wyndham Vale, following a report of an alleged assault.

Upon their arrival, officers encountered resistance as those inside the residence reportedly refused to exit.

To manage the situation, heavily armed tactical teams were deployed, who subsequently entered the premises and detained 13 individuals.

Inside the house, police discovered a man in his 20s who was found unresponsive.

He was promptly transported to the hospital, where he remains in stable condition.

According to 9News, the location was the site of a party the previous evening and is frequently rented out for short-term stays through online platforms.

One neighbour said the situation has become a nuisance.

“We don’t know what kind of people come and stay there,” he said.

Most of the people who were arrested by police were later allowed to leave.

Officers are investigating what happened.
