A new rash on the right side of US President Donald Trump‘s neck is the result of a cream that he’s using as a “preventative skin treatment,” his personal physician told CNN.

President Trump is currently undergoing a preventative skin treatment, according to Dr. Sean Barbabella. The treatment involves the application of a common cream to the right side of his neck, as described in a recent statement from the doctor.

Dr. Barbabella explained that the president’s treatment will last for one week, with redness in the treated area expected to persist for a few weeks thereafter. However, specifics regarding the necessity of this skin treatment were not provided, and the White House has yet to comment on the president’s condition.

Observers noted the presence of the reddish spot on the president’s neck during a Medal of Honor ceremony. It was visible above the collar of his shirt, extending up to just below his ear.

Last year, Trump underwent a series of medical examinations at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. These included a session where, according to Dr. Barbabella, cardiovascular imaging was performed.

Throughout recent months, Dr. Barbabella has consistently reported on the president’s health, stating in December that Trump remains in excellent overall health.

Barbabella has maintained for months that Trump is healthy, writing in December that he “remains in excellent overall health.”
