Students across the country have resumed their NAPLAN tests after technical issues caused chaos earlier today.

This morning, examinations were halted at the impacted schools, with students temporarily leaving the exam rooms as they awaited further guidance.

The issue, which reportedly affected institutions across the country, has been resolved.

NAPLAN serves as an annual nationwide assessment for students in Years 3, 5, 7, and 9.

Administered over a span of nine days each March, not every student sits for the tests on the same days.

While some assessments, such as the Year 3 writing test, continue to be conducted on paper, the majority of NAPLAN evaluations are now facilitated through an online platform.

This platform adheres to stringent government and industry standards for security, privacy, and accessibility.

“No student is disadvantaged if their device stops working during the test,” the National Assessment Program website reads.

“In the event the device stops working, all responses will have been saved and the student can complete their test on another device or in a rescheduled test session.”
