Support for the British monarchy remains stronger than it was during Australia’s 1999 referendum on becoming a republic.

The posthumous memoir “Nobody’s Girl” by Virginia Giuffre divulges further allegations involving Prince Andrew’s alleged misconduct and his ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, claims that Andrew refutes.
Cindy McCreery, an associate professor of history at the University of Sydney, commented that the challenges facing the royal family are intensifying.
McCreery believes it’s premature to determine the impact of these events in Australia. However, monarchists have expressed to SBS News that the controversies surrounding Andrew do not diminish their support for the monarchy and its constitutional role in the nation.
“I was feeling hot and exhausted at 38 weeks pregnant, but witnessing the celebration was so captivating and enjoyable,” she shared.
“It’s up for the authorities to make a call on what the legal ramifications are,” she said.
