Emergency services were called to a car park on Saint Smith Road in the Moreton Bay suburb of Beachmere just before 1am today.
Police were told a man had been intentionally driving a black Nissan X-Trail at pedestrians.
A 45-year-old man sustained non-life-threatening injuries to his lower body and was taken to Caboolture Hospital in a stable condition.
The car left the scene, but was tracked by police to Beachmere Road.
A 29-year-old man from Caboolture was taken into custody.
The charges against him include causing bodily harm through assault, committing assault with a weapon, intending to inflict serious injury, and driving while intoxicated.
He is set to appear in Caboolture Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
No other physical injuries were reported.
