The upcoming visit from March 14 to 19 will see the royal couple participating in various business and cultural events. This marks their fourth official trip to Australia and the first since the King ascended to the Danish throne.

In a statement released this evening, the palace emphasized the significance of the trip: “This state visit aims to further enhance the already robust ties between Australia and Denmark, spanning cultural, economic, and foreign policy domains.

“With current geopolitical shifts impacting economic and security policies, strengthening our partnership with Australia is crucial. These developments are increasingly linking Europe and the Indo-Pacific region,” the statement continued.

Building upon the strategic partnership established between the two nations in 2023, the visit seeks to bolster collaboration across various sectors, including the green transition and economic security.”

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese expressed his delight, stating that he feels honored to welcome the royals to Australia.
