In a disturbing incident overnight, a man has been seriously injured following a shooting in the western suburbs of Sydney.

The police responded to an emergency call reporting multiple gunshots at a residence on Northcott Road in Lalor Park. The authorities are yet to determine who was responsible for the shooting, as the suspects reportedly fled the scene by car.

A 46-year-old resident of the house was struck by gunfire. Paramedics arrived promptly, providing initial medical assistance before transporting him to the hospital. Fortunately, he is currently in a stable condition.
