President Donald Trump has often been outspoken against certain media portrayals of the Middle East situation, with the New York Times frequently in his crosshairs. However, he recently found a piece of commentary he wholeheartedly endorsed.

Trump took to Truth Social late at night to share a screenshot of an opinion article penned by Marc Thiessen in the Washington Post. Thiessen, known for his previous role as a speechwriter for George W. Bush and as a Fox News commentator, expressed views that resonated with Trump.

Thiessen praised Trump’s strategy to blockade the Strait of Hormuz, describing it as a “brilliant” move. He argued that it achieved the impact of a military operation but avoided the typical fallout associated with such actions.

He further suggested that this maneuver had shifted the balance against Iran, placing them at a disadvantage.

Although Trump refrained from adding a personal comment to his post, allowing the article’s headline to speak volumes, he did criticize the New York Times earlier in the day through a separate outburst.

“When does this Corrupt Media Outlet apologize for their LIES and horrible actions against me, my supporters, and our Country itself!” he said this morning.
