A “shockingly brazen” daylight shooting in Sydney’s south-west has left three individuals injured.

Emergency services were summoned to South Parade in Auburn at approximately 1:15 pm today.

NSW Police reported that paramedics are attending to three people suffering from gunshot wounds.

Police have declared a crime scene and closed South Parade and surrounding streets.

South Parade runs beside a train station and near local businesses.

The shooting is believed to have taken place outside a Turkish restaurant.

Premier Chris Minns condemned the “shockingly brazen” daylight attack.

“NSW Police Force investigators are already hunting down those responsible,” he said.

“We don’t stand for it, and NSW Police doesn’t stand for it.”

Police Minister Yasmin Catley said she was deeply concerned by the “horrifying events”.

“Multiple people have been injured in this public place shooting. Our thoughts are with them and their loved ones,” she said.

“This kind of violence has no place in our community. It’s horrifying, it’s unacceptable and it shakes the sense of safety we all deserve.”

An investigation is under way.
