The individual, who had been on parole following a two-year prison sentence for obstructing a homicide investigation, is well-known in organized crime circles.

This 45-year-old influential member of the Comanchero motorcycle gang was sought by authorities in both New South Wales and Victoria. His parole was recently revoked due to allegations of his involvement in an assault incident.

Law enforcement officials allege that he was present during a violent altercation outside Melbourne’s Love Machine nightclub, a venue often associated with the outlaw motorcycle group.

In a separate incident in 2022, he narrowly escaped an ambush at a gym in Auburn, where his younger brother tragically lost his life.

The former leader of the Comancheros survived being shot multiple times—up to ten bullets struck him, including one to the head, which resulted in the loss of an eye.

The notorious underworld figure was caught by police months after he was shot, in a dramatic arrest on an Edgecliff street.

He was forced to front court over the execution of Youssef Assoum before charges were eventually dropped.

Instead he was charged for hindering the homicide investigation and given two years’ jail before being released in December.

The owner of the Airbnb says the booking was only made at 2am yesterday – two people for three nights.

A 38-year-old man was also arrested at the address but was later released without charge.

Zahed was taken to Gladesville Police Station, where officers executed the warrant.

He has since been transferred into the custody of the Department of Corrective Services NSW.
