Just 88 minutes before the cutoff time, former President Trump shared an update via social media.

He announced that he had decided to delay his previous threat to dismantle “a whole civilization,” citing that the United States had successfully achieved all of its military goals.

Trump further mentioned ongoing talks aimed at establishing a lasting peace agreement in the Middle East.

“The motivation for this decision is that we have already achieved and surpassed all military objectives. Progress is being made towards a comprehensive peace agreement with Iran and peace in the Middle East,” Trump stated.

He added, “We have received a 10-point proposal from Iran, which we consider a viable foundation for negotiations.”

“Almost all of the various points of past contention have been agreed to between the United States and Iran, but a two week period will allow the Agreement to be finalized and consummated. On behalf of the United States of America, as President, and also representing the Countries of the Middle East, it is an Honor to have this Longterm problem close to resolution,” he added.
