Iran has not allowed the United Nations nuclear agency access to its nuclear facilities bombed by Iran and the United States during a 12-day war in June, according to a confidential report by the watchdog circulated to member states and seen on Friday by The Associated Press.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has expressed concerns about its inability to confirm whether Iran has ceased all activities related to uranium enrichment or to ascertain the extent of Iran’s uranium reserves at its nuclear sites.

In a report released on Friday, the IAEA highlighted that, due to ongoing restrictions on accessing Iran’s four known enrichment centers, the agency is unable to provide details regarding the current status, composition, or location of Iran’s enriched uranium stockpile.

An official from Oman indicated that lower-level technical discussions are set to continue next week in Vienna, where the IAEA is headquartered. The agency is expected to play a pivotal role in any forthcoming agreements.

Iran maintains that it is not seeking to develop nuclear weapons and has resisted calls to cease uranium enrichment within its borders or to relinquish its stockpile of highly enriched uranium.

Last year’s negotiations between the United States and Iran concerning Iran’s nuclear activities fell apart with the outbreak of conflict in June. At that time, Iran had been enriching uranium to a purity level of 60 percent.
