In the wake of Lebanon’s inclusion in the ceasefire agreement, residents in the country’s southern regions have received stern warnings against traveling to certain restricted areas. This cautionary measure stems from the ongoing military presence maintained by the Israeli Defence Force (IDF), which asserts its operations are crucial for disrupting Hezbollah’s “terrorist activities.”

Avichay Adraee, the IDF spokesperson, issued a clear message on X, advising the public to avoid venturing south of specific villages and their surroundings. “For the sake of your safety and the safety of your families, and until further notice, you are required not to move south of the following villages and their surroundings,” he emphasized, offering a detailed list of the affected locales.

The advisory also extends to certain geographical landmarks, underscoring that areas such as the Litani River, Wadi Salhani, and Salouqi are off-limits. This directive accompanies a map that delineates the entire border zone between Israel and Lebanon as a restricted area, reflecting the IDF’s strategic positioning in the region.

“Additionally, approaching the Litani River area, Wadi Salhani, and Salouqi is not permitted.”

He also showed a map, where the entire border area between Israel and Lebanon is considered a restricted zone.

Israeli forces have been in southern Lebanon since April 8, when the ceasefire between the USA, Israel and Iran was originally implemented, though at the time it did not include Lebanon.
