The Bush Legend Official account boasts a substantial following, with over 200,000 fans on platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. Each day, it shares videos featuring Jarren, who appears clad in khaki attire or adorned with traditional paint, set against the backdrop of vivid red earth.

In these clips, Jarren interacts with an array of creatures, ranging from crocodiles and snakes to birds and lizards, educating the online community about the rich tapestry of native wildlife.

Janke has advocated for stronger legal frameworks to curb the production of deepfakes and encourages the public to report any misleading or harmful online content.

“Content creators should be mindful of several factors, including copyright, defamation, and particularly Indigenous cultural and intellectual property rights, as well as cultural respect,” she emphasized.

“This is a compelling issue for legislators and policymakers, but it’s also crucial for individuals to scrutinize the content they encounter, seeking out authenticity,” she concluded.
