A renewed hunt for accused police killer Dezi Freeman has concluded without search crews finding the fugitive.

Over 100 specialized police officers, alongside volunteers and cadaver dogs, dedicated five days to thoroughly searching Mount Buffalo National Park this week.

The search area was strategically selected based on intelligence suggesting a gunshot was heard in the vicinity shortly after a fatal police shooting incident.

Investigators previously disclosed their strong belief that the fugitive is deceased and that his remains are located within this area.

Freeman has been missing since August 26. On that day, he allegedly shot and killed two police officers and wounded a third.

Officers Neal Thompson and Vadim De Waart-Hottart tragically lost their lives during a morning raid on Freeman’s property on August 26.

Freeman, who identified himself as a sovereign citizen and is suspected of being the shooter, managed to escape from the scene and has not been seen since.

A Victorian-first $1 million bounty has been offered for information leading to his arrest.
