VicEmergency has issued fresh warnings in the past hour.

A rapidly spreading grassfire near Natimuk, on the outskirts of Horsham in western Victoria, is putting several homes at risk.

Authorities have issued a warning for residents in Arapiles, Duchembegarra, Grass Flat, Mitre, Natimuk, and Tooan, urging them to stay indoors for their safety.

“You are in danger. Act now to protect yourself. It is too late to leave. The safest option is to take shelter indoors immediately,” the official alert emphasizes.

Meanwhile, those living in Haven, Lower Norton, McKenzie Creek, Noradjuha, Pimpinio, Quantong, Vectis, Vectis East, and Vectis South have been instructed to evacuate immediately.

In response to the crisis, a relief center has been established at the Horsham Senior Citizens Centre, located at 17 Roberts Avenue, Horsham.

Additionally, a separate out-of-control grassfire at Telfers Rd in Grass Flat is prompting immediate evacuation orders for residents of the aforementioned areas, highlighting the urgency and severity of the situation.
