Police are searching Adelaide’s northern suburbs for a suspect and a gun following a shooting during a terrifying street fight last night.

Security footage obtained from the scene shows someone firing a weapon close to homes and passing vehicles shortly before 8pm in Munno Para.

“There were a bunch of people fighting and we could hear two gunshots,” one witness said.

“I’ve got small kids, I’m a little worried.”

After the incident, authorities apprehended 23-year-old Tyler Haywood from Smithfield Plains at a home in Davoren Park. A firearm was confiscated at that location.

A 41-year-old Smithfield Plains man was also taken into custody for allegedly possessing a firearm illegally.

Both men faced Elizabeth Magistrates Court today, where bail was denied.

Prosecutors noted that the firearm involved in the shooting is still missing, and expressed worries that releasing the suspects could hinder the ongoing investigation.

Officials are also on the lookout for a third suspect who has yet to be captured. Additionally, law enforcement is attempting to locate a vehicle, believed to have been used by the suspects to flee along Brandis Road.

The investigation is ongoing.
