A Queensland woman has been charged with domestic violence offences after allegedly stabbing a man.

Police were called to a home on Main Street in Dutton Park, Brisbane, at about 6.30pm yesterday.

Investigators will allege a 47-year-old Bowen Hills woman stabbed a 49-year-old Kangaroo Point man in the stomach with a knife.

The pair are known to each other, police said.

The man suffered serious injuries and remains in hospital.

The woman was arrested and charged with one count each of wounding and contravening a domestic violence order.

She was refused bail ahead of her appearance in court today.
