Ava Phillippe, the daughter of Reese Witherspoon and a so-called ‘nepo baby,’ felt embarrassed after her social media followers highlighted an uncomfortable detail regarding her and her boyfriend since September, Dakota Brubaker, on Wednesday.

The 25-year-old model, associated with LBI Entertainment, chose to address a comment by TikTok user @mahriahlee that labeled them as ‘Reese & Ryan,’ suggesting they bore a resemblance to the 49-year-old Academy Award winner and her former spouse Ryan Phillippe.

Ava – who’s named after Ava Gardner – visibly cringed reacting to the comment, waving her hands no, while Dakota looked equally uncomfortable.

‘You guys,’ Phillippe scoffed in the caption. ‘Whaaaaattt.’

Despite this, Ava also embraced the comparison by playing “Bittersweet Symphony” by The Verve, the iconic song from her parents’ well-known 1999 film, Cruel Intentions, in the background.

And Brubaker wore glasses and a black turtleneck to more authentically evoke Ryan’s character Sebastian Valmont, who seduces the innocent Annette Hargrove (Reese) in Roger Kumble’s modern adaptation of the 1782 novel Les Liaisons Dangereuses.

Witherspoon and the 50-year-old SAG Award winner – who are also parents of 21-year-old son Deacon Phillippe – divorced in 2007 after seven years of marriage.

In the comments section, Ava liked what TikTok user @megan_wbf wrote: ‘I mean… technically you were IN Cruel Intentions…’

‘OMG they did not. LOL!’ user @alltoosammi13 wrote. ‘Your parents are iconic though. And so are you for this video.’

Last year, Phillippe – who studied social welfare at UC Berkeley – said the best beauty tip she ever got from The Morning Show producer-star was ‘Pretty is as pretty does.’

‘You are only as beautiful as you treat other people, as you treat yourself, and as you are on the inside,’ the 5ft2in brunette told Allure.

‘And I really do think that’s true for outer beauty, that what’s inside comes through and is almost more apparent than you realize.’

By contrast, Ava appears to have little to no relationship with Ryan, whom she hasn’t been pictured with since 2018.

Phillippe began her modeling career at age 19 in 2018 for Rodarte’s Fall lookbook.

The Planned Parenthood campaigner went on to star in campaigns for Ivy Park, Pat McGrath Labs, and Vince Camuto as well as Reese’s clothing company, Draper James.

Ava – 1.1M Instagram/TikTok followers – is also every bit the influencer with paid partnerships for brands like the Michael Kors, Dior Beauty, Fendi, Clarins, and Golden Goose.
