Braxton Berrios recently reflected on his time with Tom Brady, stating that practicing alongside the iconic quarterback after being drafted by the New England Patriots in 2018 was akin to earning a “PhD in football.”

These remarks, made last summer after Berrios inked a one-year, $2 million contract with the Houston Texans, have gained renewed attention. This resurgence follows a video capturing Brady in a cozy moment with his ex-girlfriend, Alix Earle, during a New Year’s Eve celebration in St. Barths.

Berrios shared with Texans radio, “Experiencing firsthand what true professionalism looks like as a rookie provided me with the best foundation I could have hoped for.”

He added, “Understanding the quarterback’s perspective and being able to address his challenges significantly increases my value to the team.”

Berrios recalled Brady’s methodical approach, saying, “He would pause and explain, ‘Here’s what I’m seeing and thinking.’ My ability to view the game through the quarterback’s eyes stems from that initial year and the insights he shared.”

“That season with Brady was truly educational,” Berrios concluded. “I genuinely believe I attained a PhD in football from observing him.”

Brady appeared to spend a lot of time with newly-single Earle on New Year’s Eve

The 30-year-old Berrios and Earle, 25, split in late 2025, with the Dancing With The Stars runner-up Earle confirming the breakup in an emotional social media post in December – shortly after their two-year anniversary.

‘I just feel like I can’t be what Braxton needs,’ Earle said, crying. ‘I love Braxton, he is my best friend and it has been really difficult as we try and go forward with this. 

‘We’re on good terms and I don’t want anyone to come for him or be mean to him.’

Brady, 48, has been single since his divorce from supermodel ex-wife Gisele Bunchen, the mother of two of his three children, was confirmed in October 2022. They had been married for 13 years.

Since that split, he has been linked with many famous women, ranging from Sofia Vergara to Sydney Sweeney. And the footage of him and Earle getting close has emerged amid ex-wife Bundchen getting married again.

She surprisingly wed Joaquim Valente in December, with the couple first meeting in 2021 when she enrolled in his jiu-jitsu classes in Miami. 

This Sunday, Brady is expected to be in Chicago to call the Bears vs Detroit Lions for Fox in the final weekend of the NFL regular season. Brady is two years into a 10-year, $375million deal to call games with the broadcaster.

There is potential for Brady’s path to cross with Berrios during the NFL playoffs. The Texans have already qualified for the postseason and will be crowned AFC South winners if they beat the injury-hit Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.

Brady also appeared to be welcomed onto the popular ‘Spittin Chiclets’ podcast on Friday, the show’s X account sharing multiple pictures with Brady ahead of the NHL’s Winter Classic. 

Berrios, however, has been used fleetingly by DeMeco Ryans this year and has recorded only six carries for 37 yards.

Neither Brady or Earle have commented directly on the viral videos but they also aren’t doing much to play them down.

Brady shared a quote to his Instagram story as the footage surfaced, which said: ‘People are not beautiful for how they look or speak. They’re beautiful for how they love, care and treat others.’

He also posted a picture of his pool, back at his Florida mansion, with the caption: ‘Home Sweet Home’. Bizarrely, he added the Zach Bryan song ‘Pink Skies’ to the post, which is about the singer going to his mother’s funeral.

Earle, meanwhile, was ready for a night of excitement judging by her ‘Get Ready With Me’ video that she shared on TikTok before the New Year’s Eve party in question.

Earle later shared pictures of her outfit on Instagram and was swarmed with comments about the Brady video.
