Brittany Snow has candidly expressed her preference for filming intimate scenes with women, revealing a more enjoyable experience compared to working with male co-stars. In a recent interview, the 39-year-old actress reflected on her work with Malin Åkerman, highlighting the positive difference.
Known for her role in the popular film “Pitch Perfect,” Brittany shared her thoughts during an appearance on the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast. She discussed her on-screen chemistry with Malin Åkerman as they filmed the Netflix series “The Hunting Wives,” where Brittany portrays Sophie O’Neil and Malin plays Margo Banks.
Snow described the experience as refreshingly considerate, contrasting it with her past experiences filming with men. “Men sometimes don’t care. They don’t have a mint in their mouth,” she remarked, pointing out the lack of attention to detail. In contrast, she found working with Malin to be a breath of fresh air.
She appreciated Malin’s thoughtful approach, noting how they communicated throughout filming to ensure comfort. “Are you okay? Can I put my hand here?” were common questions between them, creating a supportive environment. Such care and consideration made the process feel “nice and different,” according to Brittany.
Furthermore, Brittany praised Malin’s attentiveness to boundaries, emphasizing how the Swedish actress, who is 47, was careful about hand placements and ensured Brittany was comfortable with the scenes. This level of mindfulness contributed significantly to the positive experience Brittany described.

Brittany also shared how the Swedish actress, 47, was mindful about her hand placements on her body, checking she was fine with showing certain parts of herself whilst filming.
‘She’d say, “Do you want me to put my body here so you don’t have to show this part of yourself?” I thought, “This is so selfless and kind,”‘ Brittany added.
In the series, Sophie moves with her husband to the fictional town of Maple Brook in East Texas, where she meets Margo Banks.
Margo is the leader of the group The Hunting Wives and shows an interest in Sophie.
Brittany also confirmed on the podcast that filming for the second series will start in a few weeks.

‘Wow, that took me a while to get here,’ Snow began. ‘Sorry, I was really slow to come out.’
‘Oh, I don’t mind waiting for you to come out,’ Malin quipped in her honeyed, sultry soprano before the star-studded audience burst out in cheers.
Their onstage skit came just days after it was announced that their show was renewed for a second season.
