Westlake police arrest 2 in alleged car-jacking, thank them for complying with officer orders

The suspect, 30-year-old Adam Abdallah, had warrants out for his arrest in multiple Northeast Ohio cities.

BRUNSWICK, Ohio — A Brunswick man is behind bars after leading multiple officers on a chase, according to the Brunswick Police Department.

According to a press release, 30-year-old Adam Abdallah refused to stop for officers who attempted to pull him over at approximately 6:10 p.m. on Sunday, March 30. Brunswick police assisted officers from the Strongsville Police Department during the pursuit.

Spike strips were successfully used near West 130th Street near Boston Road, leading to Abdallah’s arrest. Brunswick police turned him over to Strongsville police after he was taken into custody.

At the time of his arrest, Abdallah had the following warrants active:

  • Drug paraphernalia – Brunswick
  • Drug abuse – Medina County Sheriff’s Office 
  • Drug abuse – Lorain County Sheriff’s Office
  • Failure to comply – Cleveland Division of Police

Brunswick police said no officers were injured during the incident.

Additional charges are pending.
