Vice Chair of La Raza Unida Arrested for Tire Spiking Border Patrol Vehicles in CA - Is CHIRLA Involved?

On Tuesday, Border Patrol agents apprehended four individuals accused of using makeshift tire spikes in an effort to hinder federal enforcement vehicles and disrupt immigration operations in Van Nuys, California. Among those arrested was Ernesto Ayala, the vice chairman and former chair of the Partido Nacional de la Raza Unida (PNLRU), a political group commonly referred to as La Raza.

Photographs shared by Chief Patrol Agent Gregory K. Bovino revealed that at least one of these devices had punctured the tire of a van used by the Border Patrol team.

Bovino’s post says that three subjects were arrested; later, a fourth subject was arrested, as shown in this post, which shows the mug shots and identities of all four domestic terrorists.

Agents recovered unused improvised tire spike devices and a small backpack from the subjects.

Oh, what does that say on the bag? Well, it’s an Emergency Bag with a handy checklist on the outside, provided by CHIRLA (Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights-Los Angeles) in partnership with Listos California, which is part of the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Management. CHIRLA is the organization we reported about in June at the outset of the city’s anti-ICE raids; they received more than $34 million in taxpayer funding in 2022-2023 and are tightly linked to Los Angeles’ Democrat establishment. They also head the Los Angeles Rapid Response Network, which has been doxxing Border Patrol and ICE locations and vehicles, putting federal law enforcement officers at risk.
