The beloved cast of “The Office” took the stage once again, reuniting for a nostalgic moment at the Actor Awards on Sunday evening. The event, held at Los Angeles’ Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall, offered a trip down memory lane for fans of the iconic show.
Four of the show’s stars—Mindy Kaling, Jenna Fischer, Angela Kinsey, and Ellie Kemper—made an appearance to present the award for Outstanding Ensemble in a Comedy Series, which was awarded to “The Studio.” Their presence immediately sparked memories of their time on the popular sitcom.
Before they revealed the winner, the actresses indulged the audience with a humorous reflection on their experiences during the filming of “The Office.” They joked, “We are women who survived 22-episode seasons,” a nod to the grueling shooting schedules they endured.
Ellie Kemper, who portrayed the quirky receptionist Erin Hannon, quipped, “You didn’t plan a season around a pregnancy,” while Mindy Kaling, the witty Kelly Kapoor, added, “Yeah, you gave birth on camera and then named the baby after a grip.” Their playful banter brought laughter from the crowd, highlighting the close-knit camaraderie they shared on set.
Jenna Fischer, who played the charming Pam Beesly, reminisced about the show’s intense timetable, saying, “It meant Christmas episodes and Valentine’s episodes and Super Bowl episodes.” Mindy chimed in with a candid comment, “And sometimes filler episodes that were kind of bad.”
Ellie concluded their lighthearted speech, reflecting on the nature of network television, “But it didn’t matter because there was always another one right around the corner.” Their reunion was a heartwarming reminder of the legacy “The Office” has left behind and the joy it continues to bring to fans worldwide.

Angela Kinsey, who played Angela Martin and now co-hosts the rewatch podcast Office Ladies with Jenna noted, ‘We turned our experience into a podcast because people love behind the scenes stories.’
Mindy then asked, ‘Should I do a podcast about writing?’ to which Ellie retorted, ‘Oh Mindy, no-one cares about writers.’
The Actors Awards revealed the reunion was all down to Mindy.
‘Mindy Kaling sort of became a pseudo talent booker for our show,’ executive producer Mark Bracco told Variety.
‘We had reached out to her about being a presenter, and she came back with the idea of, ‘What if I did a reunion with all the women of The Office and we’re like, ‘Yeah!”
‘Within, like, an hour, she had texted all of them, and she basically booked them all for us.’
‘So she had texted with Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey and Ellie Kemper, and I’m not kidding, like, within 90 minutes, they were all booked and presenting on the show.’
The Office aired for nine seasons from 2005 to 2013 on NBC.
The American version of The Office was based on the classic UK series of the same name created by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant.
