Jules Neale has taken off her wedding ring and is finding comfort in her family following her difficult separation from AFL star husband, Lachie Neale.

On Monday, Jules was spotted for the first time since the news of her high-profile marriage ending surfaced, her car packed to capacity with moving boxes.

During a visit to a shopping center in Carindale, Queensland, she was joined by her father. Jules appeared tense, and her left hand noticeably lacked the familiar gold band.

Her father assisted in loading the large cases into the back of her SUV, which was already filled with newly packed moving boxes and oversized stuffed animals wrapped in protective plastic.

The boxes bore ‘fragile’ labels and the logo of Ben Moves Brisbane, known for being one of the city’s most reliable furniture removal services.

Jules, dressed casually in revealing activewear, wore a somber expression throughout the outing. At times, she seemed lost in thought, gazing pensively into the distance as she maneuvered her hefty luggage.

It comes as the Mormon missionary at the centre of AFL golden boy Lachie’s marriage split has stunned her conservative church by openly embracing the media glare.

Married mother-of-one Tess Crosley, 29, was seen without her wedding ring on Monday as she collected some possessions from her family home in Brisbane. 

She is understood to be staying with her parents at their Gold Coast home as the row rages over her role in the love split between Neale and his wife Jules, who was previously best friends with Ms Crosely.

Rather than retreat from view, Ms Crosley posted bikini shots on Instagram, stunning devout members of her Church of Latter-day Saints faith.

Her husband Ben Crosley, also a Mormon who she married in 2017, does not appear in any of the images.

The reaction within the Mormon community is said to have been one of shock and fascination, according to one.

‘They are loving the drama and enjoying the spotlight on their church in the headlines,’ the insider revealed.

‘It’s all the talk at Temple on Sundays.’

For strict Mormons, modest clothing is essential at all times in the deeply traditional religion.

In its purest form, members are required to wear special undergarments, day and night, and to dress in a way that covers them at all times. 

Ms Crosley’s glamorous bikini snaps are understood to be a direct violation of those principles and reportedly embarrassed her highly religious in-laws.

Her husband’s parents, David and Susan Crosley, served as President and Matron of the Adelaide Mormon Temple from 2020 to 2023 – senior leadership roles within the church.

Ms Crosley has been a member of the church from an early age and is still believed to be a practising member.

Her parents, father Tane and mother Kaz, were both adult converts to the Mormon faith.

Her father worked as a saturation diver and was often away from home when Ms Crosely was growing up, while her mother Kaz raised her three daughters.

Between 2015 and 2017, Ms Crosley’s faith took her to Perth, where she served as a Mormon missionary. 

Until recently, Ms Crosley and her husband were frequently photographed with the Neales, even attending Brisbane Lions’ premiership celebrations in September.

In June, they joined in on the viral TikTok ‘Hope our husbands like each other’ trend, ending the clip with Lachie and Ben arm-in-arm, drinks in hand.

After the Lions’ grand final win over Geelong, Ms Crosley posted multiple images from the MCG, including shots on the field and inside the sheds. 

One photo showed her and Ms Neale both biting Lachie’s premiership medal.

But that friendship imploded when Ms Neale allegedly told Mr Crosley about the betrayal.

‘Ben found out because Jules told him,’ the source said. ‘Jules was suspicious for a while.’

The fallout has cut particularly deep given the importance of marriage within the Mormon faith. 

One of the most sacred rituals is a temple sealing, in which husband and wife are bound together for an eternal marriage.

Tellingly, comments referring to the Mormon faith have reportedly been deleted from Mr Crosley’s Instagram page, while disparaging remarks about his wife remain visible.

Social media activity last week suggested the rift between Ms Neale and Ms Crosley is ongoing.

Ms Neale demanded Ms Crosley remove photos of her with Lachie after the grand final, demanding: ‘Take these (pictures) down, you idiot. 

‘You’re embarrassing yourself’.

Another comment, that later vanished, added: ‘Take these down. You’re so gross’.

A News Corp report claimed the Neales were ‘working through’ their marital issues, prompting a fierce response from Ms Neale.

Moving trucks were reportedly seen at the Neales’ Brisbane home last week. Ms Neale’s latest posts suggest she has returned to Western Australia to be with family over Christmas.

She shared an Instagram story of Busselton Jetty, south of Perth, accompanied by a heart-mending emoji.

Lachie, meanwhile, is believed to be staying at a family holiday home in South Australia.

The couple share two children – Piper, 4, and baby son Freddie, born 12 months ago. Ms Neale marked Freddie’s first birthday last week with a series of photos.

A former Perth salon owner, Ms Neale is a familiar face on Brownlow best-dressed lists and a close member of Brisbane’s WAG circle. 

She has built an Instagram following of more than 27,000 as a stylist and lifestyle influencer and now works as a hairdresser at a Brisbane salon.

Lachie Neale, a dual Brownlow medallist, four-time All-Australian and 293-game veteran, has remained silent as the scandal continues to swirl. 

Brisbane Lions and Neale’s management have also declined to comment.
