The mother of Kansas City Chiefs standout Rashee Rice’s two children has reportedly accused the NFL player of domestic violence through a distressing post on social media.
Dacoda Nichole Jones shared a series of 14 images along with an extensive narrative on her Instagram account this Wednesday. The images depicted injuries on her body, damage to her home, and torn clothing.
Although Jones didn’t explicitly mention Rice, who is currently under a $6.5 million contract with the Kansas City Chiefs, the team acknowledged the situation in a statement Wednesday night. “The club is aware of the allegations circulating on social media and is in dialogue with the National Football League. We have no further comment at this time,” the statement read.
Previously, in July 2025, Rashee Rice, a Super Bowl champion, was sentenced to 30 days in jail and placed on five years’ probation following his involvement in a multi-car accident on a Dallas highway in May 2024. The incident occurred during a race with a friend in a Lamborghini. In addition, Rice was mandated to pay $115,482 to cover the medical expenses of the victims.
Video evidence showed Rice leaving the crash scene, and he eventually pled guilty to two third-degree felony charges: one for causing serious bodily injury in a collision and another for racing on a highway resulting in bodily harm.
In her post, Jones began by alerting her followers that she was about to discuss domestic violence accusations. “I’m so tired of keeping quiet. I’m so tired of protecting his image. I’ve endured too much over these eight years, and I’ve had ENOUGH!” she declared.

‘I’ve dealt with abuse for years, me and this man decided to break up a couple months ago and since then it’s been nothing but hell.
‘He’s very controlling, there’s been times he’s came to my new home broken my door, there’s been times when he would put his hands on me while I was pregnant even had the audacity to lock me outside all night in ten degree weather because he got caught cheating.’
She continued: ‘He’s cut up all my shoes and clothes leaving me with nothing because he gotten caught up. And there’s multiple instances of cheating but besides that I’m just tired of him not doing right by my boys. It’s not fair he doesn’t call them. He rather be layed up with hoes.
‘He literally left us in Kansas and I had to beg him to send money so that I could drive to Texas with my kids and all our stuff. We have an agreement because of everything he’s put me through and he still doesn’t follow it. He’s now trying to remove me and my kids from our home for no apparent reason. I’ve known this man for YEARS.
‘He tries to put on this persona like he’s dad of the year. He does the bare minimum and I have to beg for that. I’ve protected his image too long and I’m done doing that. It’s time to protect my peace, protect my children and stand up for myself.’
Jones’ post received support from Chariah Gordon, the partner of Rice’s former Chiefs teammate Mecole Hardman, and Sheawna Weathersby, who used to date the Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones.
According to TMZ, Rice’s grandmother denied the claims and said Jones lied about the alleged abuse after the former couple had a dispute over paying for an apartment.
Rice is one of the star players for the Chiefs and, until now, a key part of the rebuild that head coach Andy Reid is planning after last season’s Super Bowl runners-up failed to make the playoffs.
The NFL suspended Rice for the first six games of the 2025 season. It wasn’t the meanest punishment ever given that Rice was recovering from a torn ACL but when he returned to practice, Travis Kelce went to great lengths to protect his teammate.

As Rice neared his return from the ban, Kelce said: ‘I’m just happy to get my guy back out there. He can put this s*** in the f***ing past.
‘Rashee is such a good dude. When all this happened, I gave him a shout and let him know, ‘Man, listen, we know who you are as a person. Don’t let the world drag you through and make you feel like you’re any less of that.’
‘He’s one of my favorite people, one of the favorite teammates I’ve ever had because of how he attacks the day, how he lives his life. His generosity, his work ethic and how much fun he has playing this game.
‘I’m excited for him to get back to what he loves to do the most, and that’s to play football.’
Kelce and his teammates even warmed up in ‘Free 4’ shirts before the Week 2 loss to Philadelphia Eagles – Rice wears No. 4 for the Chiefs.
Rice, 25, apologized for his role in the 2024 crash and vowed to learn from his mistakes that day.
‘There have been a lot of sleepless nights thinking about the damages that my actions caused, and I will continue working within my means to make sure that everyone impacted will be made whole. I urge everyone to mind the speed limit, drive safe and drive smart,’ he said.

‘Last and certainly not least, I am profoundly sorry for the physical damages to person and property. I fully apologize for the harm I caused to innocent drivers and their families.’
According to Fox4 Kansas City, Jones has not gone to police about her allegations as of early Thursday evening.
The Daily Mail has contacted Kansas City Chiefs, the NFL, Jones and Rice, via his agent, for comment, as well as Rice’s attorney.
