Chris Evans and his wife, Alba Baptista, are said to have welcomed their first child together, coinciding with the celebration of their second wedding anniversary.

The couple, who exchanged vows on September 9, 2023, at a secluded estate in Cape Cod, have yet to reveal whether they are parents to a boy or a girl.

Details such as the newborn’s weight and length remain under wraps for now.

According to a report by TMZ, the 28-year-old Baptista delivered the baby in Massachusetts on Saturday.

The Daily Mail has attempted to contact Evans’ representatives for more information but has yet to receive a response.

Speculation about the couple expecting began in July when Evans’ father-in-law, Luiz Baptista, hinted at his daughter’s pregnancy in a social media comment.

Under a fanmade Father’s Day tribute, honoring Alba and Evan’s dads, Luiz wrote: ‘Chris, your turn is coming!’

Last year, the Captain America star told People they are torn between going down the ‘puppy route’ or adopting an ‘older dog’ when talking about expanding their family.

‘Anytime you see one of those stories about some eight or nine-year-old dog that gets adopted who’s had a rough life, it just kills you. And so, to some degree, that’s kind of what we’ve been thinking,’ he revealed.

And while whether to get a second dog or not is a hot topic of discussion for the couple, they haven’t acted on the urge, yet – despite Evans saying adopting Dodger eight years ago was the best decision of his life.

‘We both need a little bit of downtime for that,’ the actor said. ‘We’ve always said, “Well, maybe we’ll just go down to the shelter,” and I’m like, “Listen, do you really think we’re going to walk down there and not leave with at least one dog?”

‘There’s no way. So if we make the decision to actually walk in the door, we’re walking out with one.’

Evans adopted Dodger from a shelter while filming his 2017 movie Gifted and said the dog has made his life ‘exponentially better.’

‘He is an incredibly special dog, and I don’t think it’s possible to stay in a bad mood when he’s around,’ he gushed.

At this time, it is unknown whether the lovebirds, who wed on September 9, 2023 during a ceremony at a private estate in Cape Cod, had a little girl or boy (seen in March 2024)

‘[Adopting him] was one of the most profound experiences I’ve ever had. It was incredibly kismet. I knew right away the second I saw him that he was coming home with me.

‘Moving forward, I’ll only rescue dogs,’ Evans added. ‘That’s the new approach from now on.’

Evans previously shared a video of ‘the moment I met Dodger’ for a National Rescue Dog Day post in 2021.

‘I was filming a movie in Savannah and the scene took place at a shelter,’ he recounted.

‘I had no intention of rescuing a dog that day, but the minute I saw him I knew he was coming home with me,’ Evans added.
