Christen Harper Goff, known for her appearances in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, recently teamed up with some adorable puppies for a charitable event in Detroit.

The 32-year-old model, who is married to Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff, organized a unique event dubbed the ultimate WAGs “tail” gate. This gathering was in celebration of the new Maytag Pet Pro Top Load Laundry System and supported pet adoptions through Michigan Humane.

Harper shared her experience, posing with both the playful pups and the innovative laundry machines, in photos released to the Daily Mail.

“The Maytag Pet Pro Top Load System is the real MVP for handling life’s little messes! I had the opportunity to see it in action today at the ultimate Tail-gate with Michigan Humane. If you’re considering adding a new teammate to your family, these adorable puppies are ready for adoption now!” Harper expressed enthusiastically.

In addition to her modeling career, Harper is also an actress. She was honored as Sports Illustrated Swimsuit’s co-Rookie of the Year in 2022.

Harper, who won the magazine’s annual Swim Search alongside Katie Austin in 2021, continues to appear in every issue of the magazine since her initial introduction.

She’s also worked with brands like L’Oréal Paris, Sephora, and Abercrombie.

Harper has also acted in the web series Women of the League, which challenges stereotypes of NFL wives.

Her spouse has inked an extension to stay in Detroit until 2028.

‘Blessed. Fired up to continue to play for this city and the greatest fans in the world! Appreciate all the love I’ve received this past week. LFG DETROIT!’ Jared shared in an Instagram post of himself and Christen posing in front of the Lions logo on May 16.

Fans were quick to hail the couple as ‘the president and first lady of Detroit’ in the comment section of the three-time Pro Bowler’s social post.

She and her football star husband have been called ‘the president and first lady of Detroit’ by fans

Three years later, while looking back at the start of their relationship in an interview with Sports Illustrated, Christen recalled that she was just casually dating back then.

‘I was truly not looking for anything at the time,’ she said in September 2022. ‘I had just gotten out of a long relationship, and I was trying to stay single for a year. Then I met him [Jared], and the rest is history, baby.’ 

The couple made their red-carpet debut at the 2019 EPSYS.

That same year, Christen also publicly wished Jared a happy birthday on Instagram.

Since the couple first laid eyes on each other, four years ago, Jared’s left the City of Angels for Motor City in a trade that saw QB Matthew Stafford move the other way in 2021. The Lions also acquired the Rams’ first round draft picks in 2022 and 2023, and a 2021 third round pick in the process.

Looking back at the deal, now, both teams won the trade, as Jared led the Lions to their first playoff win since 1992, while Matthew’s won a Super Bowl ring in L.A.

Nonetheless, Christen’s had to split her time between California – her home state and where her modeling photo shoots are often taken – and Michigan. 

Several months after her boyfriend relocated to extend his NFL career, she shared a few snaps of their lives in Detroit in a ‘life lately’ update on Instagram.

A year later, in June 2022, the couple got engaged while vacationing in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Christen held a Bachelorette party, also in Cabo San Lucas, in April of this year.

The couple will wed in California sometime this summer. Jared, like Christen, is also from The Golden State.

Off the field, Christen, who’s also an actress, also brough Jared as a plus one to a wedding in 2020.

As for what the QB does to show support for his girlfriend, Jared is regularly seen on the red carpet with his fiancee at Sports Illustrated Swimsuit-related events.

In May 2024, Jared and Christen attended the magazine’s Swimsuit Issue Launch Party in New York along with Olivia Dunne, Paige Spiranac, and Brittany Mahomes.
