Hundreds of students from Utah State University, still shocked by the tragic death of Charlie Kirk, gathered for an emotional vigil organized by the campus’ Turning Point USA chapter on Friday night.

“We just want our community to come together during this challenging time,” shared Kaitlyn Griffiths, the chapter’s president, with Fox News Digital at the heartfelt memorial for the late conservative figure. “Especially since this incident hit so close to home. We want to gather to honor and celebrate his life.”

The solemn vigil took place two days after 31-year-old Kirk, co-founder of the conservative student organization Turning Point USA, was fatally shot while he was speaking at Utah Valley University, marking the first stop on TPUSA’s The American Comeback Tour.

“I definitely believe in God,” expressed Manny Chapa. “I believe in Christ, and Kirk was a strong supporter of those beliefs. One of the last things he was able to share from the stage was his faith in God. It’s truly inspiring to see someone like him do that.”
